The Greater Sunrise development, located approximately 140 km south of Timor-Leste, is comprised of the Sunrise and Troubadour gas and condensate fields. Discovered in 1974, the Greater Sunrise complex holds resources of 5.1 trillion cubic feet of gas and 226 million barrels of condensate. The project is expected to start producing natural gas by 2028-2030.
The development of Greater Sunrise along with the accompanying pipeline to the southern coast of Timor-Leste is a key priority for TIMOR GAP leadership and is essential to Timor-Leste’s future economic growth and development. It will provide Timor-Leste with affordable, reliable, and cleaner energy for domestic use and export and provide new jobs and infrastructure for its people.
